Kyle Briscoe is a trial lawyer specializing in defense litigation. He has successfully handled a broad spectrum of cases involving personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability, products liability, commercial disputes, transportation, and non-subscriber matters. His clients range in size from small business owners to multi-national corporations, including retailers, community service providers, freight companies, and restaurants. - Simi v. Omni Hotels, San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas – Obtained defense verdict at trial in premises liability case involving allegations of life-altering injuries and six-figure damages.
- Alexander v. QuikTrip, United States District Court, Northern District of Texas (Dallas Division) – Obtained unanimous defense verdict at trial in premises liability case involving allegations of life-altering injuries and seven-figure damages.
- Austin v. Kroger, United States District Court, Northern District of Texas (Dallas Division)– Obtained unanimous defense verdict at trial for non-subscribing employer against unsafe workplace claims and allegations of life-altering injuries.
- Simon v.QuikTrip, Dallas, Dallas County, Texas – Obtained favorable settlement for client following trial cross-examination of Plaintiff in case with poor defense liability facts. The case settled for half the amount Plaintiff demanded pre-trial.
- Geisler v.QuikTrip, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas – Obtained unanimous defense verdict at trial in premises liability case involving allegations of neck and back injuries.
- Matthews v. Kroger, United States District Court, Northern District of Texas (Fort Worth Division) – Obtained unanimous defense verdict at trial for non-subscribing employer against unsafe workplace claims and allegations of a traumatic brain injury.
- Jarvis v. QuikTrip Corporation, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas – Obtained unanimous defense verdict at trial in premises liability case involving allegations of a fractured wrist.
- Odom v. Kroger, United States District Court, Northern District of Texas (Dallas Division) – Obtained unanimous defense verdict at trial for non-subscribing employer against unsafe workplace claims.
- Conley v. QuikTrip Corporation, Dallas, Dallas County, Texas – Obtained unanimous defense verdict at trial in premises liability case involving allegations of back and shoulder injuries.
- Evans v. Kroger, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas – Obtained unanimous defense verdict at trial in premises liability case involving allegations of back and neck injuries.
- Mason v. Fiesta, Inc., Dallas, Dallas County, Texas – Obtained directed verdict at trial in premises liability case involving allegations of knee and back injuries.
- Serrano-Cordero v. Kroger, United States District Court, Northern District of Texas (Sherman Division) – Obtained unanimous defense verdict at trial for Kroger, a non-subscriber, in case involving an employee injury. Employee allegedly suffered a traumatic brain injury and claimed that Kroger failed to provide a safe workplace.
- Alharbi v. Kroger, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas – Obtained defense verdict at trial for Kroger (a non-subscribing employer) in case involving allegations of improper training and unsafe workplace resulting in significant bodily injuries including fractured ribs.
- Coto v. Kroger, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas – Obtained defense verdict at trial for Kroger in a premises liability case involving allegations of negligence resulting in significant neck, shoulder, and knee injuries.
- Acosta v. Kroger, Denton, Denton County, Texas – Obtained defense verdict at trial for Kroger in a premises liability case involving allegations of significant spinal and leg injuries.
- Earwood v. IESI, Garland, Dallas County, Texas – Obtained defense verdict at trial for IESI (now Progressive Waste Solutions) in motor vehicle accident case involving allegations of negligent hiring and negligent entrustment resulting in significant personal injuries and property damage.
- Gibson v. Larue, Waxahachie, Ellis County, Texas – Obtained defense verdict at trial for local business owner in case involving breach of contract allegations.
- Davis v. Kroger, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas – Obtained defense verdict at trial for Kroger in a case involving allegations of significant property damage as a result of defective fuel.
- Olsen v. Kroger, Garland, Dallas County, Texas – Obtained defense verdict at trial for Kroger in a premises liability/negligent activity case involving allegations of significant property damage.
- Wilson v. Target Corporation, Rockwall, Rockwall County, Texas – Obtained defense verdict at trial for Target Corporation in a premises liability case involving allegations of significant bodily injuries including knee and back injuries.
- Borodina v. Kroger, McKinney, Collin County, Texas – Obtained defense verdict at trial for Kroger in a premises liability/negligent activity case involving allegations of significant bodily injuries including a fractured coccyx.
- Obtained dismissal of OSHA complaint for non-subscriber wholesale grocery distributor in a case involving alleged violations of the Surface Transportation Assistance Act’s whistle blower protection provisions.
- Obtained multiple summary judgments for non-subscriber employers in cases involving allegations of an unsafe workplace, inadequate training, improper supervision, etc.
- Obtained multiple summary judgments for premises owners in cases involving premises liability and negligent activity claims.
